Replacing Batteries
Removing old Batteries
- Check which side of the ear defenders requires battery replacement. Note: There are batteries in both left and right sides.
- Then rotate the defender such that easy access of the foam is available. Fig.1.
- With 2 or more fingers grasp underneath the hygiene cushion's plastic mounting, and the opposite hand holding the outer shell, pull the plastic mounting away from the outer shell. Fig.2.
- The battery should now be exposed. Fig.3. Using fingers pull the battery out of its holder (for ease remove the non sprung end first). Fig.4.
To replace Batteries
- Ensure battery is of correct type. Work out polarity of battery using markings inside battery holder (-ve to spring contact and +ve to flat contact)
- Place hygiene foam and cushion back over the earpiece and squeeze the mating parts together. (A "click" should be heard. Ensure hygiene cushion is fully secure)
